CORONAVIRUS (COVID-19) UPDATE
The spread of the Coronavirus is on everyone's mind these days. We want to let you know what we are doing at Crosstown Civic Credit Union to help protect our members and employees and still conduct business as usual while keeping your accounts secure.
We have established additional sanitization procedures at our branches and our head office. This precaution provides further protection for our members and employees from the Coronavirus. As a reminder for our members and employees, it is always a good idea to wash your hands regularly or use hand sanitizer and refrain from touching your eyes and mouth.
We are prepared to support our members and employees by focusing on safety and health. While our branches remain open, we recognize that many members may choose to conduct transactions from home. Our Member Solutions Centre is available to assist you Monday through Friday, 8:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m., and Saturdays between 9:00 a.m. and 3:00 p.m. Drive-thru ATMs will remain available. We would recommend however that you sanitize after each use. You also have 24-hour access to your account through mobile and online banking.
As you know, our Special Meeting of Members to vote on the potential merger with Access Credit Union is currently scheduled to be held on Thursday, March 19th, 2020 at RBC Convention Centre. At this time, we are still planning on holding the Special Meeting, as scheduled. This vote is offered completely online at crosstowncivicvote.ca
and will allow members to vote from the comfort and security of their homes throughout the day. If members want to vote in branch, we will also have kiosk set up for that. Voting at the meeting will still be available for members that don't have access during the day, or that don't have technology that would allow them to vote remotely. As we continue to focus on the safety and health of our employees and members, we are working with the Convention Centre to ensure the room is set up and will have protocols around social distancing and sanitization available to reduce risks to attendees.
The meeting itself will proceed as long as there is quorum and the results of the vote will be announced at 8:30 p.m. We will also offer a live broadcast of the Special Meeting that evening for those that want to participate in the comfort of their home, and the web link will have the ability to ask questions to the live event. Members will be invited to join us online at https://zoom.us/j/704175729
. As soon as the result of the vote is announced, we will communicate results online, on our website and social media to ensure that members are notified of the results as quickly as possible.
We encourage you to cast your vote online on March 19th at crosstowncivicvote.ca
using the ballot ID and password mailed to you earlier this week. More information about the member vote can be found at cusuccess.ca
We continue to closely monitor the latest guidance from the Government of Canada Public Health Agency, the Manitoba Government, and local public health authorities, and will continue to keep you updated on our actions. Please be sure to visit our website prior to vote day for the latest updates.
