Confirmed COVID-19 exposure at 1250 Portage Avenue

covid-notification-FB Employee and member safety continues to be our top priority.
We learned Friday evening, November 13th that one of our employees who works at our 1250 Portage Avenue location tested positive for COVID-19. This individual was last in the branch on Monday, November 9 and followed all Crosstown Civic protocols regarding the use of masks, physical distancing, and sanitization. Based on preliminary investigation, this individual had no direct contact with any members on this day, was not in close contact with any staff (defined as within 2 metres for 15 or more minutes), nor were they symptomatic at the time.

Employee and member safety continues to be our top priority in the current environment. We completed an extensive cleaning and disinfecting of the West End Branch as soon as we were made aware of the potential exposure. This action was in addition to the enhanced cleaning and disinfecting protocols already in place at all of our locations. We also notified public health authorities on the measures taken and continue to follow all Manitoba Health guidelines. The 1250 Portage Avenue location will remain open by appointment only.

We encourage you in this current pandemic environment to bank remotely and consider in-branch service for urgent or essential services that can only be completed in person. An essential in-branch service is defined as a service that cannot be transacted through ATM, online/mobile banking, telephone banking, over the phone and/or requires a signature.

Our employee is currently isolating at home and our thoughts are with them, wishing for a quick recovery.

All branches by appointment only effective Nov. 12
