What we're doing for our business members.

Many of our business members will also be directly impacted by the economic impact of closures and reduced transactions. We’re committed to helping you to ensure that the current social and economic climate doesn’t negatively impact your finances any more than it already has or has to.

We are working with each of our business members on an individual basis as each situation is different and we want to be sure we’re giving you the right advice for your business.

Currently our Commercial Department, located at 171 Donald St, is seeing members by appointment only. We are asking that you PLEASE CALL US FIRST AT 204-942-2686 before visiting us. Our Account Managers are available via phone to help you manage your finances during this pandemic.

Our night deposit is the safest way for our business members to deposit cash, credit card slips, and cheques. Need a key, or don't know how to get started? Call us! We have waived certain service fees until July 31st to keep you going during this time. Please refer to the full list on our Banking Remotely page. As a business member, you can continue to conduct business through services like online banking to scan and deposit cheques online or business online banking and have your business account credited right away. Don’t have online or business online banking? Call us and we can help you get set up.

Protecting your business

If your business is facing challenges due to the economic downturn, we can help assess your situation and determine the best options to provide some relief. Call us to talk about available assistance such as reviewing your situation for a potential payment deferral plan for monthly payments, or an interest-only payment plan to help your business navigate this unpredictable time.  

There are many options that can be explored along with government support. Please reach out to us directly to talk about solutions for your individual situation. 

Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA)
The new Canada Emergency Business Account (CEBA), which was announced by the Government of Canada on March 27th, 2020, will provide up to $40,000 to small businesses and not-for-profits as an interest-free loan. The intention of this loan is to help cover their operating costs during a period where revenue may be reduced.
