COVID-19: Branch Updates

How we're serving members by phone or in-branch.

Effective Tuesday, July 21, the Winnipeg Square branch will join our other eight branches and reopen to members at regular business hours. Current safety measures already in place at the other branches will remain in effect and will also be in place at Winnipeg Square.

What to expect when visiting our branches:

In a few short months, the COVID-19 outbreak has changed how we live, interact with friends and family, and also how we must serve our members. We are following the latest public health orders and are committed to following strict social distancing measures when members visit us for an essential service. Social distancing means maintaining two metres, or six feet, of physical space between individuals at all times.

To ensure appropriate social distancing is being followed:

  • Floor decals have been installed to indicate suitable spacing while waiting in line.
  • Branches have controlled entrances to allow a limited number of members inside at a time and to ensure appropriate screening. You may be asked to wait outside until the previous member has cleared the vestibule.
  • While waiting outside, please be aware of physical distancing guidelines and leave two metres (six feet) between yourself and the next person in line.
  • Our employees will remind our members to maintain proper social distancing while in our branches.
  • Maintain at least two metres (six feet) between staff and members. This means maintaining at least one metre distance between yourself and our wickets/desks.
  • Our in-person meetings will need to focus only on the essentials but we are happy to continue the discussion by phone.

We have established extra cleaning protocols and security measures in all our branches. In addition, the following measures are in place:

  • All branches have been equipped with protective shields at the teller wickets.
  • Sanitizer pump stations installed and available to all members and employees; and
  • Regular cleaning of countertops, pin pads, ATMs, and other high traffic areas.

Other upcoming changes to service:

  • Night Deposit: Effective Monday, July 13, 2020, the night deposit drop box will be checked once daily.
  • Waived Service Fees: Effective Friday, July 31, service fees that were previously waived will be reinstated. Find out more.

Do not visit us if you have cold or flu symptoms.

If you are experiencing cold or flu symptoms including fever, chills, aches and pains, sneezing, coughing, or shortness of breath, please do not visit the branch. Until we resume regular business practices, we strongly encourage you to take advantage of online, mobile, or telephone banking to complete your day-to-day banking needs. You can also phone us for assistance at 204-942-1277. All branches are available via telephone to assist members.

Annual General Meeting

The 2020 Annual General Meeting will be held virtually on Monday, August 17.

Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, we are unable to conduct the event in-person. As such, this year we’re hosting our Annual General Meeting virtually. To gain access to the virtual meeting, eligible members are required to register. Registration will open at 9:00 a.m. CDT on Monday, July 27, 2020 and will close at 4:00 p.m. CDT on August 14, 2020.

Shred Day

The 13th Annual Shred Day events are canceled.

Each year Crosstown Civic Credit Union, in partnership with Phoenix Recycling (now known as AccessCorp), hosts the Annual Shred Day events; one in the spring in April, and the second in the fall in September. In an effort to maintain social distancing practices to minimize the spread of COVID-19, this year’s events have been canceled. We look forward to hosting the events in 2021.
